MEET AND GREETS
Whether you've never heard of French immersion or you're already convinced that it's a perfect fit, our meet and greets can help guide you to make the best decision for your child.
When attending one of our many meetings, you'll learn how your child could benefit from an education in French immersion, plus members of the École Saint-Landry team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Immersion is not just for high-performing students. Children with a wide range of backgrounds and abilities can benefit from the immersion experience. The key to success is the child’s motivation, attitude and interest, as well as parental support.
Immersion has proven to promote:
• High Academic Achievement
• High levels of bilingualism and biliteracy
• Multiculturalism and Interculturalism
Our meetings will discuss: the benefits of immersion, a typical day in an immersion school, the mission and vision of École Saint-Landry, our facilities plan, transportation, and more!
All interested parents are encouraged to attend one of our meetings.
We will be hosting several meet and greets over the next two months. Five will be in person at our starter site, and two will be virtual. If you have a Facebook account, you can get more information and follow the event at https://www.facebook.com/EcoleStLandry/events/.
All in-person meet and greets will be held at 671 Napoleon Ave in Sunset (the old First Baptist Church). Masks will be required for all people school aged and older. All virtual meetings will be held via Zoom. You can find the link to the zoom on the Facebook event page or you can email us directly for the link.
