OVERVIEW
Sending a note along with your child just got a lot easier. École Notes or É-Notes are a new way to share, view, and manage all messages, photos, documentation, and more that you needed to share by email or bring in person. Now, you can do it from anywhere on our site. Plus, É-Notes are visible across all Départements of École's staff and protect your privacy by being accessible only to you if you are the author of the É-Note, a parent tagged in an É-Note, or a member of École's staff.
Attendance É-Notes Policy
É-Notes created under this category are subject to their own class of deadlines.
Physical Copy Required
Due to the legal nature of attendance and other requirements defined by parish, state, and federal requirements, you may be required to provide École with a physical copy of a doctor's note, excuse, etc. Good news: You can use your student's pochette verte (green folder) to provide us with the physical note or copy thereof. After the tardy bell rings (8:30 AM) and Attendance is recorded, your student's homeroom teacher will collect items from each student's pochette verte and send them to Le Bureau (Front Office) for vetting and finalization. A physical copy is required within five (5) school days of the tardy, absence, mid-day checkout, or early check-out.

Bus transportation is provided free of charge to all public school students in Saint Landry Parish (SLP). Bus transportation to and from École is designed, managed, and operated by Saint Landry Parish School Board (SLP-SB), whose Drivers provide roundtrip service to École St-Landry from parish-approved satellite stops located throughout the parish. Their passengers are always students.
REQUIREMENTS
Prior to boarding, Parents agree to submit transportation requests to SLP-SB when enrolling a student at any school in Saint Landry Parish. Drivers, buses, space, seats, service, transportation, and eligibility are subject to availability. Students living within 1 mile of École St-Landry may not be eligible for bus transportation services. Parents agree to exclusively use their bus' designated satellite stop(s) for AM Pick-Up (mornings) and PM Drop-Off (afternoons). Each Bus Driver reserves the right to withhold release of a student to any person who is not authorized for PM Drop-Off. Each Bus Driver reserves the right to dismiss any student(s) into the custody of law enforcement at a local police station chosen at the discretion of the affected Bus Driver.
Transportation & Attendance
Students depend on their Parents (parents/guardians) to know when school starts and ends. Students depend on their Parents to provide dependable, safe, consistent, and timely round-trip transportation, each day school is in session. Parents accept that Drivers (bus drivers) depend on their family's timeliness to make sure everyone arrives on campus when planned. Parents accept that bus transportation and bus services are subject to availability; last-minute changes can happen to a driver, bus, and service altogether. The Parent is responsible for their student's transportation each day school is in session. Parents are responsible for each of their student's Attendance record, which is measured by days and hours present in the classroom (presences) against accrued tardies (late arrivals), absences (days lost), check-outs (hours lost).
For any questions about bus transportation or attendance, you can always send an email to Office@EcoleStLandry.org.
