École St-Landry is a public school specializing in French Immersion.
We are open to all students grades K-5 living anywhere in Saint Landry Parish—and beyond.

We opened our doors in August 2021, welcoming just one 1st-Grade class and two Kindergarten classes, with a commitment to grow each year by one grade thereafter.
Today, our primary campus is home to three Kindergarten classes, three 1st Grade classes, three 2nd Grade classes, two 3rd Grade glasses, and two 4th Grade classes.
In 2026, we'll open our upper campus to house our two 4th Grade classes, our regular 5th Grade class, our new 5th Grade Late Path Immersion class, and our two 6th Grade classes. In 2027 we will add 7th Grade, then our 8th Graders will return for 2028-29, graduating as École's first graduating class in May 2029.

Notre Devise
Borrowing from the devise, or motto, of immersion programs in Hawai’i:
KaʻUmeke Kāʻeo
École St-Landry is inspired by our past, empowered by our identity, [and] prepared for our future. We practice and share our values with our daily habits because we play one of the most important roles in our community’s revitalization and prosperity.
Campuses
Our primary campus houses grades K-4 and is located on the grounds of the former First Baptist Church of Sunset, which we have transformed into a bright and fun campus full of color and natural light.
Our classrooms come standard, thanks to donors, with all the latest technology and our large, grassy lot is perfect for lots of outside play.
Our upper campus, the former Sunset High, has been fully renovated and opens in August 2026 to house 5th and 6th grade, including our new 5th Grade Late Path Immersion Class.
