École St-Landry's Fête de la Chaudière Noire is one of École's major annual fundraisers. When you see or hear Fête (pronounced: Fet), we mean our blackpot party!

What to Expect
The Fête is an annual fundraising event, held each October, open to all members of the public. The Fête is hosted by École St-Landry at the Sunset Community Center, which has ample parking on-site and accommodates overflow via neighboring streets. Its grounds host guests, donors, families, and benefactors seeking indoor and outdoor options, modern family-friendly amenities, and ease of use with multiple points for entry and exit.
Tickets
Visit École's tent to purchase tickets to try various tents' food, drinks, games, and enjoy various vendor attractions. Take a trip on our train or connect with the cuddlies in the petting zoo. You can also purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win $1000, $500, or $250.

Outdoor Attractions
Explorez la Fête with open-air and tent-covered spaces with family-friendly activities offering samples, food, drink, and other attractions like games and face painting. Take a trip on the train or visit the petting zoo by meeting under the covered drop-off zone at the front entrance of the Sunset Community Center.
Indoor Attractions
Foyer
In the front foyer and adjacent corridors, you'll find our Silent Auction made up of entries and contributions gifted for this purpose by École's benefactors and donors. Parents will want to know that all École students have items they have created and co-created in our silent auction.
Main Room
This space will welcome spectators for live music and various other programs.
Purpose
Proceeds from this fundraising event in 2026 will go towards the 2026-27 school year and renovation of our historic Sunset High building as our future campus, providing modern classrooms in this beautiful building for the future of our students. As one of only four full French immersion schools in all of Louisiana, the significance of being right here in St. Landry Parish, in the cradle of Cajun and Creole culture, is ineffable.

The Guidelines for competitors (individual and businesses), as well as for vendors, are linked in the registration form. Registration is required and space is subject to availablility.
Silent Auction
Our silent auction runs simultaneously throughout the event as part of our fundraising efforts. If you have a product or service you would like to donate for the Silent Auction, please register for the Silent Auction as soon as possible. Registration is required and subject to availability.
