École St-Landry issues each student and parent a matching transportation id tags (iTags), at least one of which is attached to your rearview mirror, along with one attached to the student's booksack.The details on each iTag are unique to each and are determined by their parent (or guardian) at the start of each school year prior to or during Portes Ouvertes (Open House). iTags confirm the matching parent's vehicle number ("car rider number") and if a bus is selected, include an image of the animal associated with the chosen bus route.()

Bus Example
Each afternoon, six buses arrive and depart to take students to their satellite stop for drop-off. For example, the Cocodri (Alligator) bus arrives on campus for afternoon dismissal, all students with an iTag displaying a Cocodri (Alligator) leave their homerooms from all over campus and report to the front courtyard to queue up for departure.

Car Example
For car riders, the number indicated on the iTag is crucial. When you arrive in your vehicle for afternoon dismissal, you queue up in the afternoon car rider line. From 3:40 PM (15:40) until 4:00 PM (16:00), an admin walks eastward on Napoléon Avenue to enter the numbers indicated on each vehicle's iTag, which can be displayed or hanging from your rearview mirror. When your number is entered, your student's name will appear on the screen in their classroom, which helps us queue up students in the order of the vehicles in the waiting bay (up to 6). Don't cut the line, please.

Protect Your Student(s)
Practice safety with discretion: Keep your iTag stored in a private or lockable area, such as your glove box or center console. Never share the number with anyone with anyone whom you would not want École to release your student(s). The admin walking by streetside on Napoléon Avenue will enter the iTag's number by seeing it displayed on the rearview mirror. The admin will release the student(s) to any driver who displays the iTag or verbally relays the iTag number.

At the start of any school year (ex: 2025-26), École issues each student a physical iTransport identification tag (iTag), which serves as a visual helper and scannable reference for a student's Authorized Contacts and select École Staff Members. For these reasons, among others, each iTag is attached to the student's backpack via a fixed handle or strap and must remain attached to be handy to view at a moment's notice. For parents, guardians, and chaperones ("Parents") as well as select staff members ("Lionnes," "Gyphons"), the iTag's QR can also be scanned to via and manage transportation settings.

User Roles & Permissions
When an admin manually creates a student or a site member (you) submits an application on behalf of a student (enrollment or transfer), the application includes a list of bonContacts that was created and authored by the application's Enrolling Parent ("Parent 1"). An application's details can only be viewed by its author (logged in site member, Parent 1) and École's staff members who are either Lionnes or Gryphons:

Lionesses, or Lionnes, are École Staff Members who have been selected by a Gryphon to view and manage É-Notes and other details associated with a student. Lionnes are commonly your student's teachers—meaning, they have one or more (1+) scheduled class, class block (enrichment), or other regularly scheduled lesson or interaction with your student. Examples of Lionnes include your student's homeroom teacher (75% of the school day), English teacher (15%), Physical Education & Sports (7.5%), and enrichment teachers who teach subjects like music and art (1-2x weekly). Lionnes can also include Bus Drivers, who may need to view and contact an Authorized Contact associated with a student (passenger) on their bus line.

Griffins, or Gryphons, have the same permissions as Lionnes with elevated permissions to serve as safeguards throughout the day and especially during check-outs and dismissal. (Front Office)  well as other admin professionals like Brian Clary and Sarah Savoy in Student and Family Services, along with Administrators like Connie (Vice Principal), Lindsay (Principal). Lionnes can also include Bus Drivers, who may need to view and use a contact associated with a student on their bus line.

How It Works
Every site member has a Household. Some site members are also parents, guardians, or chaperones of active École students. Any site member (you) with can create and manage a household using students' names. Each tag attached to the student's backpack on a fixed handle or strap and handy to view at a moment's notice. For select staff members and parents, it can also be scanned (QR) to confirm and manage the student's default transportation preferences (1st choice, car vs bus) and any Dismissal Exceptions that may apply for the current school day.

Replacement Tags
The iTransport tag is designed to visually confirm the student's default transportation as defined by the registering parent(s)/guardian(s) on the student's enrollment application for the current Academic Calendar Year (examples: 2025-26, 2026-27...). Help us remind all student(s) to protect their iTransport ID tag not to pull, pick, bend, or otherwise fiddle with their backpack's iTransport tag.

Policy
The User (you; parent, guardian, chaperone) agrees to maintain the iTransport tag in good working condition, with minimal or no damage, clear legibility, and a working QR code for staff members to scan as needed. The tag must be attached to a fixed handle or strap on the student's backpack. It is designed to visually confirm the student's default transportation as defined by the registering parent(s)/guardian(s) on the student's enrollment application for the current Academic Calendar Year (examples: 2025-26, 2026-27...). Help us remind all student(s) to protect their iTransport ID tag not to pull, pick, bend, or otherwise fiddle with their backpack's iTransport tag. Illegible and even lightly damaged iTransport tags are subject to a replacement fee of $10.
